What is the difference between a Lawyer,An Attorney, Solicitor and Barrister

A lawyer is an individual who has been educated in law.So far as you have gone to a law school and graduated you will be addressed as a lawyer, whether you give a legal advice or not.
Until you have  successfully pass the bar exams, you will not be qualified as an attorney. An Attorney is an individual who is legally permitted to represent another person or act in his/her behalf in law court. An attorney must pass the bar exams within a specific jurisdiction in other to practice law within.
In the UK, those who practice law are divided into barristers, who represent clients in open court and may appear at the bar, and solicitors, who are permitted to conduct litigation in court but not to plead cases in open court.
