Elicitation techniques business analysis for gathering requirements

Elicitation is the strategic use of conversations to extract information from people without giving them the feeling that they are being investigated. The investigation interview is often the most valuable part of an internal investigation. Revelations by witnesses, suspects and others paint a picture of the event or incident being investigated and provide a basis of facts for the investigator to explore further.

The following are the biggest elicitation issues in projects that aim to develop small/medium/large system for small/medium/large organization customers
  1. Resistance in sharing information: In some cases, information will not be forthcoming, thus uncooperative stakeholders.
